Reading the book of Colossians is like getting a PhD in Christology. The apostle Paul highlights the supremacy and suffi ciency of Christ like no other book in the Bible. This is exactly what the church in Colossae needed as they were being tempted with heresy and human philosophy. The church is still tempted with much of the same today. The first two chapters of Colossians primarily cover doctrine while the final two dive into application. Mostly, Paul desires for his beloved brothers and sisters to walk in new life in Christ. We are compelled to do the same today.
