Have you ever been on a long road trip? Perhaps you were driving or just a passenger along for the ride. At some point on the journey, four famous words are muttered from someone in the car: “Are we there yet?” If children are along for the road trip, chances are this question is asked more than once. It’s a valid question when we consider the goal of a road trip is to arrive at a destination. We often become impatient and want to fast forward our journey to the destination. Such is with the Christian life. When we experience seasons of trails, it doesn’t feel natural. We don’t like it. We want to fast forward our lives to move beyond the trials. We’ll learn in this series that God is actually doing something in the trials and has a great purpose for them. Buckle up, it’s time for a road trip!
